About Us
Before nails, our founder designed gardens.
Not the kind you just look atโthe kind people actually walk through, pause in, and live with. For 15 years she worked as a landscape architect, studying how a curve makes you slow down, how a material catches the afternoon light, and how the right proportion can make a space feel calm instead of crowded.
To her, good design was never just about looking pretty. It was about fitting into how people actually live.
But in her own life, manicures never worked that way.
She's someone with back-to-back meetings, client calls, travel, and long hours on a laptop. She loved how a good manicure made her feelโbut she knew the trade-offs too well. Salon visits meant booking, waiting, and upkeep. And most press-ons? Too thick, too long, too unnaturalโor they just couldn't keep up with a real workday. They looked great in a photo. They didn't always survive an actual Tuesday.
So she started rethinking this small, everyday thing.
If a garden has to account for how people walk, where they look, and where they lingerโthen a set of press-on nails should account for the curve of a finger, the comfort of typing, how a shade reads on different skin tones, and the real moments a woman moves through in a day.
You shouldn't have to choose between looking polished and getting on with your life.
That's why MOONLEE exists.
We bring the proportion, color, structure, and material thinking of architecture into nails designed for real, everyday wear. Not just for one photo, one party, or one dateโbut for the ordinary days: the morning meeting, the afternoon coffee, the dinner out, the weekend trip, and those moments you just want to feel like yourself again.
We believe a woman's beauty doesn't need to be earned through a complicated routine. The best kind of beauty is smart, light, and freeโand it keeps up with your life.
This is how we think about modern nails: design your fingertips the way you'd design a space. So looking put-together stops being a task, and becomes the easiest part of your day.
Why MOONLEE Exists (The Math)
The average salon manicure costs $45โ$120 and lasts about two weeks. A MOONLEE set starts at $19.90, lasts the same two weeks with nail glue, and can be reused 5โ10 times with our jelly adhesive tabs.
The math isn't complicated.
Think of us as your personal curator. We're confident in our tasteโso you don't have to second-guess yours.

About the Founder
Moon Lee โ Founder & Designer
I've never been great at giving myself one clean title. I've spent 15 years as a landscape architect, and somewhere along the way I also became a product person, someone who can code just enough to be dangerous, and a photographer who's a little too particular about light. What ties it all together is the same thing: I care, maybe too much, about how things look and how they feel to live with.
As an Asian designer, I grew up with an eye trained on balance, restraint, and the quiet kind of beautyโthe spaces in between, the lines you don't notice but always feel. That sensibility is in everything I make, right down to a single nail.
MOONLEE is where all of that finally made sense in one placeโa brand built around the belief that something as small as your nails deserves real design thinking.
